[Nutch-dev] Curious trace, no hits

I've got nutch running in a little app that has a search tab. I open 
NutchBean with a directory where it will find segments (but not index -- 
in fact, even though I ran the indexing routines -- ala the tutorial, I 
never found an index directory).  When I send it a query, I get the 
following. Is there anything diagnostic someone can tell me?
