Sometime soon I will move the code from CVS at Sourceforge into Subversion at Apache. The Subversion repository will be:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/nutch/trunk/
We're almost ready to do this. All Nutch comitters now have Apache accounts. We now only await the fixing of a Sourceforge problem:
http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?group_id=1&docid=2352#1107968334
Once this is fixed then I will ask the folks at Apache to import Nutch's latest CVS tarball into subversion.
We need volunteers to help with the following tasks:
1. Moving the wiki. Our current wiki is powered by twiki at:
http://www.nutch.org/cgi-bin/twiki/view/Main/Nutch
We need to move this content into Apache's MoinMoin-based wiki at:
http://wiki.apache.org/nutch/
Luke Baker started moving some of these pages manually, but Matt Kangas has supplied a script that should convert the whole wiki. Soon we should have the wiki ported. Once we do, I'll change change things to point to the new wiki, so that we don't have two live wiki's at once.
2. Moving the bug database. We can download bugs from Sourceforge with:
http://sourceforge.net/export/xml_export.php?group_id=59548
Stefan pointed out that this is only available to admins, so I exported to a file at:
http://www.nutch.org/nutch_export.xml.gz
It would be great if someone could figure out how to upload these into JIRA at Apache:>
http://issues.apache.org/jira/
The Sourceforge bug repository will not go away, so it would be sufficient to just insert bugs into JIRA that contain a link to the Sourceforge bug, rather than trying to copy attachments, etc.
Stefan, have you had a chance to look at this?
One more issue: mailing lists. Should I simply add all of the current members of [EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED], and similarly for nutch-general?
Thanks,
Doug
