I'm quite new to nutch... what is the "procedure" for patch submission (and for contribution, such as the mime.magic that I think I could delivered at the end of the week)?
The best thing is to submit a patch file that can be applied to the Nutch trunk with 'patch -p0'. A good way generate such is with 'svn diff'. Patches can either be attached to a message sent to nutch-dev or to a bug report in Jira. All public classes and methods should have informative javadoc. Unit tests are encouraged.
Few weeks ago I was thinking to develop a taglib for nutch (to provide a set of basic tags to iterate over results, display results informations, etc. The main goal is to allow a webmaster to easily customize the JSP). Does someone is working on this?
Not that I know of.
Do you think it is a good idea?
Some folks would probably find it quite useful, yes.
Cheers,
Doug
