(Forwarding to nutch-dev) WRT forwardRange, I suspect that is somethinng that is best done in XSLT. Currently Nutch doesn't (AFAIK) provide search.jsp with what page you are on - it is stateless & just returns data based on the number of items requested and the item number to start from. Based on that data the presentation layer can work out what page it is currently displaying quite easily.
