I set up nutch-nightly build 157: "nutch-2007-07-22_04-01-20" in distributed mode and I noticed that if a searchserver fails (or is turned off for testing failover) then no results will be returned from the nodes that remain online.
Logs suggest that: Client is retrying to connect to the failed server. * If the failed searchserver is bought back online then search results are returned from all nodes as per normal.
