Is there hard data as to why? I'm just curious. Apache / Tomcat by itself shouldn't be "negative" on a Windows box.
At least it should run on m$ windows, there is no real problem with windows, i personal just had very bad experience with windows server in general.
Windows can't delete still open files, unix system can do that.At least I know some developers that using windows until development.
In the worst case there can be problems with still open files after a nutch that can't be deleted.
Why would that happen Windows-only?
