why whouldn't you get the whole current nutch version with all the plugins available?
Parts of the fetcher might be moved to plugins, so it might be the best solution to get the complete current nutch version and use this.

* Checkout nutch from cvs to/in a new dir.
cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/nutch login cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/nutch co nutch
* use ant to build the whole stuff. I think you simply have to call ant from the new nutch dir.
* Copy your old nutch-site config file and maybe db and segments to the new dirs.
* Start nutch in your new dir.
