We're just wiping down a server to install nutch in more of a production environment. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether we should upgrade to version 0.8, from version .7? Our developer suggested that the only reason we would need to do that would be if we needed distributed computing; for the near future we'll be working off of one computer only. So he's suggested we can stick to version 0.7.

If you don't need the new features and scalability from 0.8 for the next couple of months, I suggest to stick with 0.7, it is more stable and better documented. But remember that the 0.7 branch is now in the maintenance mode, so no new features and only small bugfixes will show up there; most of the effort goes now to development of the 0.8 (trunk) branch.
