So I've written some personal verse for four of the Sam Alito filibuster 
holdouts: Senators Byrd, Landrieu, Akaka, and Nelson:An Open Limerick To 
Senator ByrdBy Madeleine Begun KaneSen. If you don't, all our rights shall 
expire.
Sometimes it's best to ignore'm. and  Born to Raise Heck. I don't care that 
it's pricey.
Yes, they've got him cold,  though wingnuts scoff. And count on this: On Bush's 
watchAll changes will be packed with flaws. Update: I'm working on a new poem 
about Sam Alito, but in the meantime, the four Sam Alito limericks I wrote in 
November are still timely.
An Open Poem  To Senator NelsonBy Madeleine Begun KaneSenator Nelson, I'm 
begging you please,Don't be a holdout and don't be a tease.
But when we have two feet of snow, hubby Mark and I are on our own. Sometimes 
free publicity ain't what it's cracked up to be.
Yet  George Dubya exhorts:Give them keys to our ports.
Crime was such a sleazy game to play.
Not a porn star in Paris.
