At the moment, I am crawling the internet through an ADSL modem (D-Link DSL-G604T).
The ADSL modem's maximum number of connections is set to 4096, but I am getting "Connection refused" from about a third of sites. And the "Connection refused" messages startup after about 45 'fetching ...' messages. It isn't quite so bad with -threads 5, and practically nonexistent with -threads 2. But 2 threads is pretty slow at fetching. Is there a workaround for this? Do I need to tweak the ADSL settings, get a better ADSL modem, or ditch ADSL completely and go with better connection technology? Cheers, Carl. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
