Newbie to Nutch and moderate Lucene user: Can you add database driven contact into lucene indexes that are part of the Nutch framework?
Can you create indexes with custom fields, etc within Lucene indexes in Nutch?

Yes. Please take a look at the index-more plugin to see how it's done. In the case of index-more the field data comes from the downloaded content, but it could equally well be retrieved from an external database.
