hi, im curious to know what differences there are in the two lucene versions, where can i find out such differences? any links?

http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/lucene/java/trunk/CHANGES.txt

And, to be completely precise, an "svn diff" between trunk and 1.4.3 would do the trick, but would be a lot to wade through.

Nutch is using an un-official version of Lucene, which is some build from the trunk of Subversion.

In the trunk of Lucene, those methods are deprecated and thus the 1.9- rc1-dev JAR you have has them flagged as such.

Hi,

I'm new here. I've noticed the Lucene jar version seem different from the
one available at Lucene site.

Nutch: lucene-1.9-rc1-dev.jar
Lucene: lucene-1.4.3.jar

When I open BasicIndexingFilter.java in Eclipse, many of Field APIs such as Text(), Unstored(), are indicated as "deprecated", but I don't see anything new or different in the javadoc. Are they supposed to be the same versions,
or modified somehow?

Thanks.
