The easiest way of doing what your asking for is to use Luke, which is a diagnostic tool for Lucene indexes. You can download Luke, and find out more information about it here: http://www.getopt.org/luke/. Its easy to use, and once you load your index into it you can preform searches independently from Nutch. It has many other interesting and useful features also.

How about retrieving a specific one? I'm getting a total hits of 0, much like what Bettina reports, so I'd like to verify that the items have indeed been fetched, and which ones as well. Thanks in advance, Ricardo J. Méndez http://ricardo.strangevistas.net/
