nutch-0.9.job

What is the nutch-0.9.job file?  In the bin/nutch script, I removed 
nutch-0.9.job from CLASSPATH and added nutch-0.9.jar.  This appears to be 
working.  Please, explain nutch-0.9.job.  How do I add updates to it?
