nutch for feeds, blogs and comments

Hi everyone,
I am dessigning an application for searching in blogs, feeds adnd comments,
but I don't really know if Nutch is a good solution because I would like
that it woud be able to search the newest posts, so it should be crawling
all the time. I know that technorati and wordpress works with ping-o-matic
and similiar services, but I don't know if we can acces to those databases.
Can anyome help me in this question and give me some advice?
