Hadoop-0.14 was to remove Configuration.setObject method which is used
in Nutch for caching, so we had to implement another caching
mechanism. NUTCH-501 was opened to track this change. In my simple
tests, NUTCH-501 seemed to work but it kinda fell off my radar and I
forgot about it. Even though hadoop-0.14 did not remove
Configuration.setObject, now might be a good time to replace usages of
setObject with NUTCH-501's ObjectCache since hadoop guys are probably
going to remove that method sooner or later.

So, I would suggest that we resolve NUTCH-501, wait for 0.14.1 to be
released and upgrade to 0.14.1. How does that sound?
