I have tried tomcat 6.0 and after escaping some quotes in a string in
search.jsp, it works withou error. However, it returns no results. I
suspect it is not finding the correct crawl files.

I have started tomcat in the nutch directory.

I have also added a preference to nutch:

<property>
  <name>searcher.dir</name>
  <value>crawl</value>
  <description>
  Path to root of crawl. This directory is searched (in
  order) for either the file search-servers.txt, containing a list of
  distributed search servers, or the directory "index" containing
  merged indexes, or the directory "segments" containing segment
  indexes.
  </description>
</property>

Any other steps to take?

Thanks
Sam

Hi,

I just dropped Nutch web app into tomcat version 6.0.18 and it worked
fine, perhaps you should upgrade your Tomcat?
