This email is to close the consensus call on the recommendation made by the encapsulation design team to pursue draft-ietf-nvo3-geneve-04 as the standards track solution for the NVO3 data plane.
Having reviewed the discussion on the list, and taking that into consideration along with the clear consensus in the room in Chicago, there is rough consensus in the working group to adopt the recommendation of the design team. However, we would like to see the authors of draft-geneve address as far as technically feasible the comments on the list, and if not then they should at least be called out in an applicability statement in the draft where there is list consensus for the comment.
