Currently, the "default-domain" property is mandatory only when NIS and/or LDAP
are configured manually. In other situations, the "default-domain" property
cannot be set.
This should be changed such that the "default-domain" property can be set in
all situations, and is mandatory when NIS and/or LDAP are configured.
