Summary: Need a way to know a known_wlan security mode.
Classification: Development
Product: nwam
Version: unspecified
Platform: ANY/Generic
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Status Whiteboard: nwam1-build:2009-07-13
Severity: critical
Priority: P2
Component: ON library
AssignedTo: nwam-dev at opensolaris.org
ReportedBy: dkenny at opensolaris.org
QAContact: nwam-dev at opensolaris.org
When the user tries to edit a known_wlan in the GUI, there is no way for us to
present to them the security information about that known wlan unless it has
been scanned.
While it is possible to get the name of the secure object from the wlan
properties, this isn't usable by the GUI since it's not possible to obtain even
the basic information about the class of the secure object (i.e. wep/wpa)
without elevated privileges.
Also, known_wlan's that have been upgraded, don't seem to automatically have
this keyname filled in either - I would have expected that to be done based on
the basic knowledge of how 0.5 managed it and the list of secobj available
during the upgrade.
