1. launch nwam-manager-properties.
2. select network profile, select active profile 'User', select ok.
- verify 'User' profile is active (nwamadm list -x)
3. launch nwam-manager-properties.
4. select, User, wired (active interface name)
5. In IP address tab, select ipv4 setting manually assigned.
In address field enter an invalid IP address e.g. 111..........
-select ok
6. an invalid ip address dialog o=ops up indicatin that valid formats must be
of the type
w.x.y.z
or
w.x.y.z/N
the latter format cannot be used in the network preferences dialog, as the text
box will not accept the '/' character.
