hi folks

just a quick heads-up on the status of the wifi changes
I just pushed - at present they include propogation of
WLAN events (scans etc) and I've ripped out the WLAN
keying stuff so you can only connect to unsecured WLANs
for the moment, which you can do through nwamadm like this:

# nwamadm interact

- 1: ESSID speak2me BSSID
0:1f:33:2b:17:c8
- 2: ESSID eircom1331 7464 BSSID
0:f:cc:2d:90:f8
- 3: ESSID eircom7701 5412 BSSID
0:1e:5a:fc:5:50
- 4: ESSID eircom2716 0460 BSSID
0:f:cc:5c:ee:fc
- Choose WLAN to connect to [1-4]:4

(interact -v will show the flurry of associated messages as
well as prompting like this)

Selecting a WLAN will cause nwamadm to do a door call
into nwamd selecting the WLAN for connection, leading
to a connect attempt. These changes also add an object list
for known WLANs to nwamd, but it's not consulted as of yet.
The next steps (which I'll be working on over the next couple
of days) in the order I'll be tackling them are:

- add WEP/WPA support
- add consultation and update of known WLAN list
- add support for hidden WLANs

Hope this helps,

Alan
