NWAM West: 8:30AM MPK/11:30AM BUR/4:30PM DUB
Attendees: Darren, Steff, Victor, Anurag, Alan, Karen, Renee
1. Docs
- Steff has submitted first draft of nwam chapter for 2008.11 guide;
deadline is coming up fairly soon. Darren had problems with link
for review, Steff will check into.
- For the troubleshooting guide section: currently based on the
troubleshooting page on the nwam opensolaris project site. Would
be better to have just one place for that sort of information; as
the guide Steff's working on is a wiki that the community is
encouraged to update, we'll probably make that the one place, and
simply link to it from the opensolaris project page.
2. Phase 1 status
- Schedule reports as of 11/5 are posted.
Notes:
* ND6 is currently the long pole; need to keep an eye on it.
* C-team checklist: Renee will submit today, Karen will follow up
with Manuel.
- Wifi driver update status: the ones that are complete now will be
sufficient for initial testing; the current schedule for completion
of all of them looks okay for final, broad-coverage testing. Would
be good to have their schedule for when various drivers will be
finished, in addition to overall end-date; Victor will try to get
that information.
3. East meeting time: Moving forward, we will continue to meet at 9AM
on Friday Beijing time, which is 5PM Thursday US/Pacific, 8PM US/East.
4. Other Issues:
* OS Ambassadors: Victor presented to them on Tuesday, covered all
Solaris Networking projects, including NWAM. Lots of interest in
NWAM! Thanks to Darren for the screenshots, and to Renee for help
with the slides.
* Please take a look at Alan's message to nwam-discuss regarding the
over/under properties, and send your comments.
* Name service domain properties: we don't need separate ones for each
NS, as there can only be one domain, even if multiple services are
in use. Alan will take care of this change.
* Mutually exclusive service instances: we'll go with the start method
checks, rather than the EXCLUDE_ALL property; sending both services
to maintenance if the second is enabled is just too disruptive in
this case.
* Review of Ubuntu 8.10, and its network manager--Alan will send link.
NWAM East: 5:00PM MPK/9:00AM BJS
Attendees: Alex, Victor, John, Renee
1. Reviewed schedule status for test development items; things are mostly
on track. If you haven't already, please send Karen estimated completion
dates for your tasks.
2. Victor talked about presentation to OS Ambassadors earlier this week (see
notes above, item 4).
3. Test workspace: John made good progress on getting test workspace set up;
should wrap up in the next few days, and will get info out to the team.
