--- Comment #10 from Rob_C <rob1weld at aol.com> 2008-11-18 17:21:07 --- (In reply to comment #9) > > 2.): If I run "gnome-system-monitor" from a "root terminal" it says that > " /usr/lib/inet/in.dhcpd " is being restarted every minute. Too often. The Log /var/adm/messages is loaded with lots of these messages: Nov 14 12:31:00 unknown in.dhcpd[10867]: [ID 455295 daemon.error] Cannot determine server hostname/IP address. Yet I am connected to the Internet and all seems OK. Previously I did not have thousands of these messages and have always used the "Installer Default" of "unknown" (since I use a Cable Router to connect to the Internet). What would be the purpose of changing from "unknown" to "something" as that would not be recognized either. My /etc/inet/hosts contains: # Internet host table # ::1 localhost 127.0.0.1 localhost loghost mailhost -- Configure bugmail: http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
