NWAM West: 9AM Menlo Park/12PM Burlington/5PM Dublin
Attendees: Anurag, Alan, Jim, Renee
It was an (even more than usual) informal meeting, as Renee was rather late
dialing in as the host. But we did discuss a few items:
1. Phase 0.5/picea status
* Jim, Darren, and Lin are working on clarification of the interface
between the gui and nwamd, and testing/debugging.
2. Firewall/ipfilter project
There's been a thread about this project on nwam-discuss; from the nwam
point of view, we need to think how projects like this can plug in to
nwam in the future. We have an extensibility mechanism for individual
services; but this project consists of a framework and properties in one
service, and additional properties scattered across other services that
wish to have ipfilter rules. Also need to think about how other guis
can/should plug in to the nwam gui, and how we can create a cohesive
user experience, and not duplicate UI development effort. Further
discussion in this area would be great; chime in on nwam-discuss.
3. Phase 1 gate status
Discussed closed-bin issues; Anurag has a plan and will include links to
the appropriate closed-bin tarballs on the phase 1 gate page (which we need
to get linked in to the main opensolaris project page).
NWAM East: 6PM Menlo Park/9AM Beijing
Attendees: Lizhong, Alex, John, Renee
Welcome Lizhong! We're glad to have you on the team.
Reviewed items from earlier meeting; see notes above.
Phase 1 schedule update: Karen sent out the schedule earlier today; please
have a look at it and make sure the test-related tasks make sense and are
scheduled appropriately. We need to have this schedule in order for Victor
to present to Tim and Greg next week, on Wednesday, 9/3.
