I'm pretty sure the cause of this is that the root filesystem can be readonly
during boot when we attempt to create NCUs - the following comment suggests
this:
Jun 23 09:00:19 starbug-mac nwamd[519]: [ID 221149 daemon.error] 1: failed to
create link ncu for myk0: entity is read only
I have added code to do a timed retry of the creation every 5s if this problem
is encountered. I will push the changes and build. Since it's timing-sensitive,
it may be difficult to reproduce every time. I'll push the changes but won't
close the bug until we've verified the changes (which are needed anyway) do the
job.
