Active i/f's in the active profile cannot be destroyed, but it is possible to
add/remove other i/fs in the active profile (in more recent builds of nwam).
As such the GUI need to disallow the user selecting the active i/f, but in a
way that also informs them that this is not possible.
My suggestion is to:
1) Make the device insensitive, disallowing selection.
2) Append the text '(active)' to the name to explain why.
