Rather than setting the alarm and then checking if the remaining time on the
previous alarm was less, we simply set the alarm for the remaining time of the
first event in the timed event queue. If the event being enqueued, in
nwamd_event_enqueue_timed(), may be the first event in the queue, then we end
up setting the alarm for that event.
