NWAM does not automatically configure NIS by default (in the Automatic
location), as there are cases where doing so presents a real security issue.
However, in the upgrade case, NWAM will actually *break* an existing
configuration that uses NIS, as it will over-write the /etc/nsswitch.conf with
one which does not use NIS (that of the Automatic location). This is a real
pain point for users on SWAN in particular.
