If I loose access to a wireless network and then regain it, typically as I have moved to part of the house where the signal is weak all that seems to happen is that the "dns" entry from nsswitch.conf is removed. I get no pop up saying the interface is down just these errors in the messages file:
Dec 22 12:51:05 principia mac: [ID 486395 kern.info] NOTICE: ipw0 link down Dec 22 12:51:05 principia in.routed[535]: [ID 238047 daemon.warning] interface ipw0 to 192.168.1.155 turned off Dec 22 12:51:06 principia mac: [ID 744254 kern.info] NOTICE: ipw0 link up Dec 22 12:51:06 principia /sbin/dhcpagent[266]: [ID 967406 daemon.warning] refreshing state on ipw0 Dec 22 12:51:06 principia in.routed[535]: [ID 300549 daemon.warning] interface ipw0 to 192.168.1.155 restored The message about the interface being turned off is a lie, unless the hardware is some how doing this on it's own. Is there anyway to get nwam to put the dns entry back? I'm running snv79 and have seen this since nwam was putback. This message posted from opensolaris.org
