I try to avoid git as much as possible - I find its interface disjointed and confusing. One of my clients uses it and I go along, I don't see much benefit in getting him to switch. But personally I use darcs, as does one of my other clients, who loves it. Darcs is just trivially easy to use. It's better suited for smaller teams though. That said, since I do have occasional run-ins with git, having someone tell me how to beat it into submission might be useful...
