Hi

I thought the event below may be of interest to some people in the group who
might not have seen the post on [agilist]. I'm hoping to go so might be able
to do car share from Manchester too.

Kind regards

Michael

The Software Craftsmanship 2010 conference has been announced and is open
for registration. The last Software Craftsmanship conference was one of the
most useful events I have ever attended, so this years should be well worth
attending, even though it has gone from being a free event to having a small
charge.

As a bonus it is at Bletchley Park, in itself worth a trip.

Get in quick spaces are very limited.

Dear Fellow Software Craftsman,

This is just to let you know that registration is now open for Software
Craftsmanship 2010, which will be on Oct 7th at Bletchley Park.

This year's conference will focus on the technical disciplines, and every
session will involve live coding. There'll be no talks or keynote speeches,
just 120 enthusiastic software craftsmen sharing and learning from each
other in the most practical way possible.

We're also accepting session submissions, and welcome sessions that focus on
any and all aspects of the craft: TDD, refactoring, BDD, DDD, OO design,
build automation, code quality analysis and measurement and all manner of
beasts. Basically, if it's about craftsmanship and it involves live coding,
it's the sort of thing we're looking for. In the hands-on spirit of the
conference, we're asking submitters to record screencasts illustrating some
of the practical elements of their session. The deadline for submissions is
midnight on Sept 5th, after which registrants will be invited to vote for
the sessions they'd most like to see.

Please visit http://www.softwarecraftsmanship.org.uk for more information.

I hope you can make it.

Best wishes,

Jason Gorman
