It might not be them, but as an aside: if Sky are moving up to Leeds and
trying to recruit NWRUG'ers, I'd encourage all of you to consider their
roles if you're not 100% happy in the ones you're in.

I interviewed for them a few years back in Brent and was offered a role,
turned it down as had something more interesting on the table and their
(commercial outsource).

In my (London) local pub there is a regular who works there and has worked
on Now TV, SkyBet, etc. who is not just content, but positively over-joyed
at getting to work on the stuff he gets to work on. He rarely seems
stressed. He's a Yorkshireman by birth, perhaps he has encouraged them to
move up there. ;-)

IIRC, the money is OK (but not great - they seemed to be about 5% below
normal market in 2010), you get free Sky TV at home which if you wanted all
the bundles would be worth about £1200/year retail, the team seem quite
into pushing what they can do and using newer technologies, and it's a
large consumer-facing brand that has a lot of interesting challenges
because they are already "at" scale of tens of millions of users who are
more than happy to complain if something is not right. They do not have as
much of the technical debt or internal politics of other broadcaster/media
brands I've heard about, and it seems they're quite keen to try new tech
and processes.

But if they're opening up in Leeds, the best bit if you do fancy working
for them, is you don't have to work in Brent.
