Dearest NWRUG, I hope you're all doing swimmingly.
I've got a contract available, working onsite in Preston for a fairly large corporate entity who have acquired a Ruby/Rails application and need a decent Rubyist to both work on the application and train up two Oracle/SQL developers, one of which has fallen in love with Ruby through working on this project. Initially its mostly onsite but they are willing to offer 1 day a week remote. They don't want to promise more future remote working but are happy to allow it to happen if it becomes suitable as things go on. Remuneration is up-to-£400 /day and this contract is expected to last at least 6 months. Looking for someone to start ASAP but can show some flexibility for the right candidate if you have prior commitments. This is surely shaping up to be the contract of a life time so please send me your CV to avoid disappointment.
