Hi All,

Apologies for the late notice. We’re going to be running a Ruby coding
challenge this month at Federation House
<https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Federation+House/@53.486103,-2.240237,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xb5b47150c72a31fc?sa=X&ei=Ut5cVI-PFdKT7QbMvoAQ&ved=0CIQBEPwSMA4>.
Participation isn’t required but you’ll definitely get the most out of the
session if you take part.

How to take part

To participate, you’ll need to bring a laptop with Ruby
<https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/installation> installed (either 1.9 or 2.0 as
2.1/2.2 are not fully supported by the challenge); and a copy of the Bundler
gem <http://bundler.io/>.

If you don’t have a laptop but still want to take part, email me and we’ll try
and facilitate something.

You’ll also need some understanding of Ruby, although folk will be on hand to
give help and guidance if you have problems getting going.

If you need any help getting Ruby/Bundler set up on your laptop, please arrive
at 6:30pm and someone will be on hand to help you get set up.

Also do try and make sure your laptop is fully charged as there won’t be enough
power sockets for everyone.

The session will run for around 2 from 7pm. You should aim to arrive and get
settled before 7pm so that we can hit the ground running.

NOTE: As with last month, NWRUG is happening at Federation House
<http://goo.gl/w3IHld> as MadLab is still undergoing refurbishments.

See you tomorrow!
