I thought this might be of interest if you know anyone who is disabled and is
looking to get into the IT industry and gain some Ruby experience.

I have a role available for a 6 month work experience placement at the BBC, on
my team which works on automated testing using Ruby. It is only available for
candidates with a disability, see the Extend website for more information.

The salary is 20,800 per annum (pro rata). The role is based at MediaCity:UK in
Salford Quays, Manchester. The role is statistically very likely (but not
guaranteed) to progress into continued employment at the BBC.

For more information and how to apply please see:

http://careerssearch.bbc.co.uk/jobs/job/Extendee-Test-Developer-BBC-Future-Media/11704

All applications need to be received by the 10th May, so that gives you three
days from today. I am the hiring manager but do not deal with the early
recruitment process, you will have to go through the website and apply that way.

We are looking for disabled candidates from unconventional backgrounds but with
a strong enthusiasm for getting into software development, and experience of
coding.
