Hello NWRUGers I'm just sounding out for advice really about the prospect of running NHS Hack Day in Manchester in September/October this year?
NHS Hack Day is a national, 'unofficial' NHS movement where clinical medical staff and developers work together over the weekend to solve problems of all kinds in health and social care. Everyone is a volunteer. www.nhshackday.org The kind of things I'd like advice on are: 1) what sort of venues would be suitable in the Central Manchester Area? (numbers are usually 150-250 people, we need *indestructible WiFi*, shelter from the elements and can work around most else) We thought about possibly MOSI, or asking one of the local hospital trusts to help by loaning us their conferencing facilities - apparently the Christie has good facilities in this regard. 2) any tips on engaging the local dev community outside of NWRUG?
