Dear NWRUG, I'm an experienced Ruby developer looking for freelance work from late January 2017.
I used to be a member of the Ruby on Rails core team, and have spent four and a half years as Tech Director at https://loco2.com/. You can find out more about me here: http://www.jonathanleighton.com/ I have experience and skills in lots of areas, but I am particularly good at: * Identifying and resolving architectural problems in code bases * Mentoring other developers * Building solid foundations for new projects I also have experience of "devops" stuff (Docker, Terraform, AWS, ....) Outside of tech, I'm interested in social issues such as new economics, climate change and political engagement - I'd be really interested to hear about any projects in these sorts of areas. Best, Jon PS. I'm based in North West Wales. Whilst I could definitely meet up with you in Manchester (or elsewhere), I wouldn't be able to frequently come to a Manchester office. At Loco2 I helped build a fully-remote technical team, so I have plenty of experience of effective remote working. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "North West Ruby User Group (NWRUG)" group.
