This can be caused by the following reasons:
* There is another client sending in non-binary format.
* A TCP connection broke in the middle of an event and on reconnection a
  partial event was received. This is discarded.

This is valid as long as the IP is assigned to a local interface, thus it
can be the same on both sides.
