This is a known problem with rsyslog. This will be configurable on the
NXLog side sometime when we get there.
On the other hand I should point out that R. Gerhards is the author of
both RFC 6587 and rsyslog.
Quote from RFC 6587: "Some devices have also been seen to emit a
two-character TRAILER, which is usually CR and LF."
If he is aware of this then maybe it is possible to configure rsyslog to
properly read such messages?
NXLog is prepared to handle this and can read logs with both type of
line terminators.
