I learned the hard way: cell phones are not a replacement for land line service. At least get something, even if it’s a lifeline that you pay for by the minute. I just called RCN and found out they don't offer service. I'm not that happy about spending ~$50/month for Verizon service with "unlimited local calling". Is anyone using an alternate phone company that they are happy with?
