Jonathan and Parker,

Incidently I have just researched recently and talked to the
Orinoco tech support about AP-1000 that we have.

AP-1000 provides standard MAC authentication but
only allows up to 497 MAC addresses authentication. It does come with
the RADIUS feature. But disappointedly the implementation is just a
"pass-through" for MAC address authentication (but not
username/password). The RFC it implements is 2138 (google search for
"RFC 2138" for further details). There are more recent RFC but the
standard remains the same except it runs out of the proper port 1821.

If anyone is interested in the tech paper of MAC address based
authentication wirtten by Orinoco, and if your tech support is still good,
call him and they will email you. If you cannot get a hold but would like
to have a copy, email me off list and I will be gladly to email you an
electronic copy.

Bon
