]Dlink dwl900ap+ vs Linksys WAP11?"

I'm pretty sure these two use the same hardware. Neither have very good
configuration options, but are very stable with the latest firmware
releases. I have a WAP11 and the range is pretty good. The only thing
that disappointed me was the client mode, which I never got working :(
They won't repeat the signal. By bridging they mean there is no DHCP
server, NAT, etc. They just bridge a wired network to a wireless one.
If you have a bridge and not a router for your DSL/Cable you will
probably have to set up a PC as NAT + DHCP, or buy one of those
"broadband routers." Brownstones are not so great for range because of
the solid walls. If you need two AP's you could get one WAP11/DWL900
bridging AP and one of those broadband router types (like BEF.. from
Linksys). And run a CAT5 from the wireless router to the bridging AP.
