Hello all, I recently purchased a Cisco MPI350 miniPCI wireless card for an old WebConnect my roommate has which I am rehabilitating. :-)
However, having only had experience with an Orinoco PCMCIA wireless card, I hadn't quite grasped that I'd need a separate antenna for this. Silly me. The Cisco website say that this has "2 ultra miniature SMT U.FL type connectors compatible with Hirose U.FL-R-SMT". So, can anyone recommend: a) Somewhere to get the equipment needed, preferably in NYC soonish, since I'm eager to get this up and running? The card has been in transit for two weeks (yes, this would have been the perfect time to already have done this search. Sigh. b) What I actually need to get? I admit that despite being on this list, I'm fairly clueless about most wireless hardware. Specific brand and product recommendations would help greatly here. Thanks everyone!
