802.11b+ FACTS:
1) only a marginal increase in actual speed over std 802.11b (4.5mbps vs. 6.5mbps)
2) backward compatible with 802.11b
3) TI proprietary and trademarked technology and non-IEEE standard means, don't bet the farm.
4) HOWEVER, i like the Packet Binary Convolutional Code (PBCC) technology.
5) BIG DOWN SIDE: security flaws that are WORSE than just weak WEP and theft of service (see Bens post: "D-Link Access Point DWL-900AP+ TFTP Vulnerability")
