Sounds great for one guy walking around with his laptop, I'm interested in
seeing how the Phased-Array will track 60 users in a trade show or on a
campus.

Subject: [nycwireless] New Phased-Array AP Boosts 802.11b Range
(Slashdot)

http://slashdot.org/articles/02/11/04/2053258.shtml?tid=137

  ttul writes "Vivato http://www.vivato.net/, a well-funded wireless
startup, today came out of stealth mode to announce its "WiFi" switch
product, a super high performance 802.11b access point that uses an
array of hundreds of antennas to provide wide-area coverage to standard
802.11b clients. See stories at Wired
http://www.wired.com/news/wireless/0,1382,56166,00.html, and The New
York Times
http://www.nytimes.com/2002/11/04/technology/04WIRE.html?ex=1037077200&e
n=73fe9673f9ef8196&ei=5062. Vivato's new AP completely changes the
economics of WiFi especially for providers such as FatPort
http://www.fatport.com/ and WayPort http://www.wayport.com/, who now
have the technology to deliver 11Mbps to your laptop even if you're
miles from a location -- it's the Jetson's, folks!"
