We are a WISP. We are having a problem with one of our customers who is using a
Linksys USB 802.11b adapter version 2.6 installed on XP. There is somone else in the
viscinity who has set up an access point. Unfortunately his machine keeps coming up
with a message saying I see another access point (the one that is not ours) and it
keeps trying to switch to this access point.

Our first thought was to find some way to use the configuration utility that came with
the Linksys adapter to "lock" it to our Aps channel. But I can't find any setting to
do this.

Any other ideas how to keep the Linksys (or maybe its XP) from giving its "helpful"
messages about the other AP and just stay locked to ours?

Thanks in advance

Paul
