Hello Terry,

With a Linksys access point model number WAP11 you will have the option of
removing the antennas. The connectors are RP-TNC and the access point will
give you the option of configuring WEP, MAC Authentication and the ability
to disable the SSID broadcast. You should find that the price will be
around $100-$120. Here is also a site that provides antenna bundles for
access points: www.hdcom.com

Subject: [nycwireless] AP suggestions?

I've been blissfully happy with my 802.11b setup at home. I bought an
access point about 2 years ago and haven't had any problems with the gear.
Now I've been asked to buy a single AP for our department. It will cover a
couple conference rooms and not much else. I'd like to get something that I
can buy an external omni antenna for without modifying the case. Can
someone recommend a good AP that's under $300 that supports a replacement
antenna and WEP. Any additional features are just gravy.

Thanks,
Terry
