This could be a stupid question. Read on a lemme know.

I've got a 802.11b card (orinoco), and there's a node not too far from me,
but I'm far enough away that my card's internal antenna isn't seeing it.
I'd like to place an antenna outside my window, which is about 30 feet
from my PC. My limited RF experience wants to say that my Radio Shack
RG-58 coax isn't going to cut it for 30' at 2.4GHz.

My goal is to have *this* card in my desktop PC be my primary transceiver;
that is, I don't want to place an AP near my window, or a USB adapter w/ a
long USB cable, or even a surrogate PC with this card in it.

Given all that, the only info I've been able to find suggests I'm going to
need some pricey cable to do this, which I'll end up spending $150 for.
Yes? No? So here's my question: What is the most cost-effective way of
doing what I'm trying to do?

Thanks,
Jeff
