I am wondering if anyone would at all be interested in a "long distance" project. My goal is to connect the Seattlewireless and NYC Wireless networks (and possibly a few in between). I realize that existing technology and user participation would prohibit a "true" wireless p2p connection across such an extended distance, but what about integrating existing "land line" connections to connect both networks? It does not seem to be that difficult a task as I have done it with my cable internet at home and the T1 we have at work. I think this would be a great learning opportunity and it would also be pretty neat to play online games between wireless networks. Any ideas?
